Kellie Pickler – “I Wonder”

As the saying goes, "The lion goes from strength to strength" and from the offset, this tiny and somewhat understated winner of the American Idol series looks set to be around for a long long time. To American Idol audiences who voted for her, it would have come as little or no surprise how Kellie managed to capture the nation’s heart.

Her first and eagerly awaited music release is called "I Wonder" and hearing her singing it is guaranteed to bring a smile to the saddest of faces. It simply is one of the best tracks to come out of the finals since the show started back in 2002.

From beginning to end, this song has the pulling power of an express train going at full speed across an arid landscape, and is guaranteed to grab even the most unwilling of heart strings, and keep a hold of them tightly right the way through to the middle 8th: and then some!
It certainly doesn't take a scientist to see why pretty-as-a-picture Kellie, (who incidentally, sounds remarkably like C.S.I Miami actress Emily Procter who plays detective Calleigh Duquesne in the show.) won outright and was crowned the winner of this year’s series.

"I Wonder" is in a word 'Gorgeous'. Kellie explained in a recent network interview that the lyrics which refreshingly were written by herself are a semi-biographical look at her life without her mother.
If the inspiration lyrics topped off with what I can only describe as a very uplifting beat and some great chord changes , don’t get you, then the beautiful sentimental feeling that emanates all the way through the track is sure to.
This seldom witnessed mixture of words and music that seems so lost in so many modern pop tracks these days is alive and kicking and waiting to hit your soul like a good song should.

IP1 Magazine Article

Details: Magazine article

Company: www.ip1zine.com/

Having been to my first IP1 Magazine meeting at their Ipswich based HQ, I agreed to write an article. I had to compile and do an interview and write about a project and forum called IPSPIT. I enjoyed this very much. The eventual outcome was that I learned the very valuable lesson of when not to write non specific details that are not needed. What I mean by this is simply that including a personal intro was not needed and was edited out.As they say "we live and learn"

The link below is to the un-edited article in its original form. I will upload the edited published version once it becomes available.

I was very happy however to be told that my actual interview is to be used which was a great feeling to say the least. I intend to carry on writing for the magazine and learn all I can in the process. Its a fantastic opportunity for me and I know it will give me the right tools to use in journolism when I get through my present college course.

Details: Review for a Mobile Phone Case

Company: Web based

I bought a new case for my previous mobile phone. The phone model was a Treo 600 by the company PalmOne (*The phone was Previously manufactured by the company Handspring but was taken over by PalmOne and rebranded)

Having been so unhappy with the overall look and feel not to mention the build quality, I decided to write a review for the MoDaCo website.

News Group Article

Details: A bit of fun. The idea was to see how far the article would go. The idea came about after seeing a similar idea.

Company: Mobile phone online forum

Between myself and other members of a usernet group, we had been following what appeared to be a legitimate news article one the subject of connectivity solutions for Cellular Phones in the USA.

Between us we came up with the idea that it wouldn't be too difficult to start a small thread that we would create out of thin air. My idea won the small wager that we'd agreed on to make it more interesting,

So this article is simply a ficticious piece that was placed on the site. I don't recal how much feedback we got, but I do remember being asked many times for both the source of my piece and for more info.Obviously we all fell silent for some strange reason.
